Hard as steel, this olive wood cutting board will last generations. Great for presentation, and we're sure it will be conversation piece. This cutting board is made from olive wood burl at least 200 years old. This design is 100% olive wood, and is constructed using the Edge Grain technique.

The pieces of olive wood used to create this design came from one single piece of olive wood burl. We cut the single piece into strips, turn them in opposite directions, then laminate them together to re-form the board again. This process provides a much longer lasting kitchen board, and will stay "true to it's original form" for many years to come. Finished with a natural mineral oil, and safe for kitchen use.

Olive wood harvested from local Sicilian trees. No trees were cut down for production, rather this wood comes from trees which died in fires or from natural causes. The wood is obtained from friends in the forestry service.
